Fashion Survival

1

Good ‘long-weekend’ Evening Everyone! I’ve just about reached that time in the semester where my need to eat healthy, shower, leave the house, be a normal human being existing in our society, etcetera, etcetera – goes completely out the door, and all that is left is my primal need to funnel as much information as humanely possible into my seemingly empty brain. Yep – it is in fact, exam period, SWATVAC, hermit-month – call it what you will, but either way it is here and I have entered survival mode; aka a time where I spend all day eating chocolate and making mental deals with myself in exchange for treats like more sweet food and Hugh Grant movies. Luckily for me, somewhere in between all the online lectures, 850 page textbooks, 75 page case studies and excessive amount of unnecessary highlighters, I was invited to the Collins 234 Fashion Blogger Event. I decided that it was event not to be missed; so I slapped on some make-up, an all white/cream outfit featuring my latest That Online Boutique Knit, a crisp black hat & olive-green coat and inspector-gadget-ed myself all the way over to Collins Street with a few other Blogger Babes.

GOOD EVENING everyone! As a twenty-something-year-old, full-time Commerce/Law student, part-time paralegal, part-time marketing intern, and when-I-have-the-time fashion blogger, it can be difficult to navigate the correct attire for an entire day! This is especially so when I have class all morning, paralegal-ing all afternoon and impromptu coffee-dates between commitments to keep myself in the Melbourne café-culture loop. So, well, I guess it is safe to say I’ve got my hands, legs and apparently the backseat of my car, full. If you are wondering what the secret is – well, it is just that. A full backseat gives me options. Outfit options, food options, hey, sometimes even sleeping options, but more than anything, it acts as my personal wardrobe-on-wheels. SO, with the help of Godwin Charli’s tailored, crisp white bib-front shirt and a pair of skinny white-[total-fashion] necessity jeans, I was able to create two completely different looks using the bits & bops just chilling in the backseat. If you’ve been reading my blog for even half a second you would know I kind of live for shirts and so before I even begin, I would sort of recommend the entire world to go out and buy at the very least one tailored, high quality white shirt, like right now. But in case you are not convinced, please see below…

Colour and the City

Today I spent the entire day (I am talking 9-5 people) working on my ridiculous amount of assessment tasks all due within the next 3-5 days. (…Every semester I become increasingly suspicious –does my University purposely plan to make all my assignments due on the exact same weekend? Do they think this is some kind of joke? Because I assure you, I, and all the other students who haven’t slept since last week, are not laughing…) Anyways after writing, re-writing, re-wording, deleting, starting again, stopping, drinking too much coffee, and eventually just giving up and watching the Bachelor* instead… I finally completed 1 of my 1 million assessment tasks today…
