A Guide To Life In Noosa

Over the weekend my boyfriend and I were given the opportunity to travel to Noosa for a few nights! We stayed at the luxurious SOFITEL NOOSA PACIFIC RESORT, located in the heart of Hastings Street, Noosa heads. With so many amazing things to do, eat and explore in Noosa, I thought I’d share with you how best to spend a day in one of my favourite places to relax in Australia.

Photo Diary: Noosa

Having only just gotten back from Noosa early this week, settling back into Melbourne-freezing-cold-life has been somewhat of a struggle and as such, I plan to live vicariously through my own images for the next – say3 to 5 months – just until my frosty fingers have regained heat* and/or the sunshine comes back in Melbourne – whatever comes first will do.

Visual Guide to Noosa Life

Here is somewhat of a delayed photo-guide of Noosa-life… I was supposed to post this a couple of days ago but since being back in the real world I’ve been bombarded with nothing but work commitments, compulsory shopping excursions & fashion events (… or really just eventwatch this space…). And so a few days late, but none-the-less entertaining, here is a little run down of what you should do, eat, ride (yes ride…) and look at whilst visiting Noosa (…quite possibly the best holiday destination in Australia… just saying).

Early Bird

…And as if it was only yesterday (…or seven days to be exact), I am back flying through the white fluffy clouds, thousands of feet above the beautiful ocean I spent my entire week getting lost in… As I fly back to the concrete jungle I call home, I am left with some of the fondest, most magical memories from my little beach getaway, from laughing with (…really just at) my family at all the ridiculous things they do, to waking up every single morning at 6am (something I would usually NEVER EVER dream of doing…) to watch the sunrise, drink coffee and eat chocolate croissants at my morning favourite, serendipitously called ‘Wonderland’ and lastly sipping coconuts by the beach until the sun falls completely into the water and all I am left with is bronzed (often burnt) skin, messy damp hair and sand in places where there should never be sand…

Beach Bum

I am not sure whether it is the warm weather, the clear blue sky, or the fact that I’ve had way too many coconuts for a five-day period (…but how many is too many… really?) Either way, I’ve fallen into such a deep love affair with this beautiful beach, I can’t imagine ever feeling comfortable in non-made-for-water-clothes ever again… When I’m not beaching, I’m brunching, so much so that I feel the locals have somewhat accepted me as one of their own… Likely I’ll just have to stay here for a few more weeks*.

Balmy Beach Days

Inspired by this [totally postcard-worthy] beach sunset/baby-pink-sky situation, I set out to capture some photographs featuring my newest monochromatic handmade dress by Zoe Elizabeth Designs. Made from beautifully soft fabric in a fit that is perfect for balmy beach days, followed by humid long summer nights, this was one of the first pieces I put in my suitcase when packing (…everything, including the kitchen sink…). I found some frangipani flowers just chilling by the pool patiently waiting to be picked by yours truly, so included these in the photographs too (because, nature).
