Since moving into my current home just over a year and a half ago, I have yet to feel entirely content with my bedroom interior. As often happens when you move house, it can be difficult to get back that home-y/warm vibe, that you subconsciously spent years crafting and perfecting in your previous space. I had all the basics in place; comfortable bed used for sleeping/eating/studying and flat-lay-ing, pretty desk-situation with perfect afternoon light used for collecting textbooks I won’t read ‘til week 12 of a 12 week trimester, an alarmingly large shoe collection and the occasional coffee-cup stain and half-bedside table, half-storage compartment, meant to hold said textbooks, but really just extra room for said shoe collection.

Over the weekend I attended a furniture and interior design expo at ‘The Kitchen’ in Richmond, Melbourne. Being a passionate pillow purchaser (yes that is a thing) I have always had a rather bizarre infatuation with all things home/décor/interior-inspired.
