With Autumn well underway here in Melbourne, I am loving the injection of colour into my wardrobe. Although I can never go past red, as you probably already know – I am also getting right around lime green, royal/navy blues and soon maybe even lilac – although at where it stands, that one is still a maybe. Either way, I’ve never really shied away from red and this season is no different. With the new UNIQLO x Ines De La Frassange collection dropping in select stores and online, my picks were anything red, striped, spotted and chic… Which was, well, practically the entire collection, so picking a few favourites turned out to be quite the challenge, but none the less, here were my favourites.
We took these snaps today somewhere in between sipping on skinny capps at The Kitchen @ Weylandts (future-apartments-goals – for real though) andstrolling through Abbotsford in the very welcomed almost spring sun. Albeit prematurely, I couldn’t help but slip into a new favourite slip top, a slightly oversized pinstripe blazerand some old school light-wash Levis. All in all, an absolutely splendid Sunday.
With winter well and truly underway in Melbourne, it’s pretty important to have that extra layer of warmth when leaving the house, particularly on those icy cold mornings. Although most fashion people always say they love winter because they love winter fashion – the layering, the coats, the OTK boots etcetera etcetera – surprisingly, it has actually never really been for me. As a true summer-gal at heart, I find winter – or more specifically, winter fashion quite difficult. I don’t like having to wear a stack of layers but alternatively I despise being cold.
Having always loved to take photos, be in photos or even just be around when photos are happening, it was no surprise that I found myself taking photos (albeit primarily of myself) for a living, what was a surprise though is that between all the content production, collaborations, photoshoots and I guess really what should actually be referred to as ‘work’ (although it never really feels that way), I sometimes forget to take photos – just for the sake of taking photos! You know, the kind of shots you take purely for memories or just because. So with a sudden urge to get back into taking photos just because – I thought I’d bring around a disposable camera with me for a week to encourage me to take more photos just for fun! Plus, a disposable camera felt so very fitting as when I was a kid I could barely get enough of them. I would quite literally bring a disposable camera to school/camp/any-somewhat-social-activity-happening-in-the-life-of-a-10-year-old and the spend the following week begging my mum to go get it developed ASAP. Ironically, a lot of the photos I took were of myself all dressed up in different outfits I had put together using clothes from my mums wardrobe or clothes that I had made – but that is a story for another day. So anyways, here you have it – my week from the eyes of a disposable camera. The quality is kind of questionable, compared to the usual DSLR and I chose not to edit or process any of the photos, which again I thought was a nice change from my more curated content.
With Christmas right around the corner, getting all my Christmas presents sorted for my closest friends and family is my number one priority. For all the lovely ladies in my life, who are far too fabulous to receive anything but an absolutely amazing gift, I always opt to give them a beautiful bunch of fresh flowers. Having always loved fresh flowers for as long as I can remember, I truly believe there is nothing more special and personalised than receiving a beautiful bouquet of florals. Aside from brightening up your day, they add a certain warmth and air of happiness to any room. This year I will be purchasing said flowers from the beautiful team atInterflora Australia. Apart from offering a wide range of stunning Christmas-inspired collections, their quality, same-day delivery and customer service is like no other.
Having made it no secret that my weakness lies in shoes… or more specifically sneakers – GROUNDED FOOTWEAR may just be my new favourite store. Located in the newly refurbished Chadstone Shopping Centre, the new store is fitted with chic emerald sofas, perfect #shoe-fie lighting and a bunch of my absolute favourite brands. With brands such as SENSO, BIRKENSTOCK, LACOSTE and DOC MARTINS… just to name a few, they really do have something for everyone, and well, it was safe to say that I may just have ‘died and gone to shoe heaven’.
GOOD EVENING EVERYONE! Today I wanted to share with you a couple of my favourite looks from the new ARMANI EXCHANGE collection. With fire hydrant red popping up all over the place recently, I was looking forward to playing around with this colour in puffer-jacket form. Opting to pair it back with an A|X scrunched up tee and charcoal skinny denim jeans; I wanted the colour to pop and be the main feature of the look. I added a strappy black heel to dress up the look, but would love to play around with wearing this jacket in a more casual setting too. Pairing it back with sneakers, oversized denim and a white tee.
