There is something so flawlessly chic and necessary about a structured, gold-trim, black bag. So much so, that I couldn’t really imagine my life without one. I mean… where would I carry all my 456 lost bobby pins? Coins that I never use? Loyalty cards for retailers that I never frequent? But most importantly, what exactly would I hang from my right arm?! My thoughts exactly. ANYWAYS, all jokes aside – (side note, in the history of Jessica & Love, ‘all jokes’ have never been put aside) – a structured, high quality, black bag is an absolute wardrobe staple, and without one, any on-the-move female (or fabulously fashionable male) would be completely lost. Having recently discovered the effortlessly sophisticated, elegant and totally chic brand Braun Büffel at a recent event held at Collins 234 Arcade, I sort of jumped on the opportunity to collaborate with them. With a strong intention to create timeless, classical pieces, I knew straight away that the brand was so, totally, for me.

If you have ever woken up with a million places to go, people to see, a wardrobe filled with clothes but simply nothing to wear, then, please, take a seat – perhaps even grab yourself a warm cup-pa – because tonight’s blog post has been tailored entirely to your needs.
If you have been following my blog for a bit now, you would probably know that I was recently forced to endure a dreadfully long exam period. There was a lot of complaining, a lot of coffee and a lot of procrasti-eating, but my dear friends, the time has come for me to burn close all my books, frolic in the sun and enjoy the summer because people… I am officially a free wo-man!!
This Saturday afternoon blog post features a few pretty pastel pink necessities, a candle intended to CALM me down (candle – you had one job – and you are failing miserably), cake pops, pink pens, brunch situations (Cru Café – Kew) and my favourite chocolate (Mr. Ritter-Sport… if you are reading this… I love you).
Firstly, I would like to apologise for being a tad M.B.I.A (Missing. Blogger. In. Action) recently, besides coining new expressions and drinking far too many caffeinated beverages per hour, I unfortunately have four ridiculously challenging exams looming over me, attempting (but not succeeding!) to ruin every single one of my days this week. Exams – do your worst… I am ready for you (total lie).

Over the weekend I attended a furniture and interior design expo at ‘The Kitchen’ in Richmond, Melbourne. Being a passionate pillow purchaser (yes that is a thing) I have always had a rather bizarre infatuation with all things home/décor/interior-inspired.
After a ridiculously exhausting week of running all over the place from attending classes, to coffee dates to office life to endeavouring ‘not to use my home like a hotel’ [quote father] it was safe to say I needed a few effortless fashion basics to get me through all this craziness… (please note: there was no actual running involved in this week, and any reference to running is purely metaphorical and should not be taken literally).
Don’t mind my hair, I just had a fight with my straightener…
My hair and me do not get along; in fact we haven’t gotten along for years. Unfortunately I was born with the condition known as naturally curly/frizzy hair. I wake up every morning with the hope that maybe today is the day… maybe today the universe has finally realised that it made a mistake all those years ago and finally it has blessed me with the hair I so desperately deserve… I am still (ever-so-patiently) waiting for that day. I am literally one bad hair moment off investing in a wig and calling it a day.
