I am so excited to share with you my edit on the highly anticipated collaboration between Jonathan Anderson (designer of JW Anderson) and UNIQLO.
Although more recently known as the designer behind the ‘Pierce Bag’ aka this seasons/last seasons “IT” bag, I have always admired his ability to design both clothes and accessories that create the perfect harmony between statement and accessible. Everything he designs has an element of sophistication yet everything feels so current and cool. It is amazing and definitely the reason he has been so incredibly successful in the fashion industry. Anderson’s collaboration with UNIQLO is no exception. The mix between UNIQLO’s high quality, low-price point collections and Anderson’s detailed and highly considered designs makes for the perfect pairing. The final collection is innovative and thoughtful and the pieces are both playful and classic.
When styling a couple of looks from the collection, I couldn’t go past this classic tweed coat with a detailed twist to the sleeve. The bow detail adds a point of difference without taking away from its classic nature. I paired it back with a pinstripe trouser (in a slightly oversized fit to give it a more relaxed feel) and a white tee for every day. Although not something I would usually pick, I really loved the ruffled stripe-y wrap skirt in blue and white for spring. An item I could actually see myself wearing a lot both casually (with sneakers and a tee) and more dressed up with heels and a shirt.
Anyways, I’d love to know what pieces you guys love most from the collection too! Let me know below!
