SHOP MY LOOK
I spoke a lot here recently about my lack of film photography knowledge but my interest in giving it a go after stumbling upon my mums old film camera. As promised, I attempted to spend a week shooting in film, so I wanted to share with you some of the results!
The main challenge was that I kept running out of film… Surprise, Surprise – I take a million and one photos usually and confining myself to 24 photos per roll was difficult to say the least… I did however find that I was photographing things that I would usually overlook and the selective nature of film made me think more carefully about the composition of the image before snapping away like crazy woman (aka my usual snap-happy-state). Albeit it is an obvious first attempt, and I am still sort of trying to work out lighting/settings/focus, I absolutely love the naturally vintage, real vibe film photography produces. With its inability to be edited and filtered, it encourages transparency in content and all the images come out feeling much more natural than they usually would.
Anywho, I’d love to know what you guys think of the images and also what you think of this type of post, as I may make it a regular feature!
