Melbourne Cup Carnival Launch

Just swinging by real quick to share with you a few moments from the Launch of the Melbourne Cup Carnival at Flemington on the 26th October. With my girlie-est baby blue Lover from The Glam Corner lace dress at the ready, my carnival appropriate hat on cue & my DLSR set to snap all the fashion/coffee/dessert-situations – I was indeed totally prepared to launch the Cup in style. Was I prepared for the absolute downpour of rain/crazy-wind-situations? Look, no – not really – but that’s just what Melbourne be likeeee. Plus, we had a few cheeky Emirates umbrellas to keep us somewhat dry, and a couple of Lavazza latte’s did not go astray either.

Nonetheless, it was an absolutely beautiful morning. I cannot wait to show you more from the Spring Races, kicking off this Saturday at Derby Day! STAY TUNED for all my favourites looks, insight into all the best Marquees, and of course a few #OOTD snaps!

  1. First, you look absolutely stunning in that dress. And second, what is that dessert? Panna Cotta? With the most beautiful toppings ever? Please explain. Such a stunning way to serve! 🙂

    1. Hi Kaylee! Thank you so much! You are so incredibly lovely! Yes! I was Panna Cotta served in tiny little cups and you could just add whatever toppings you liked into the cup. The large tray was meant to look like a field of dirt and grass in it, for Spring Races Season, but it was made of chocolate, macaroons and lots of other sweet things! It was absolutely delicious! 🙂
