On Saturday morning I had the absolute privilege of meeting Becky Cooper & Bridget Yorston, as in the ridiculously amazing design duo behind Australia’s, Bec & Bridge. With a Moroccan inspired brunch held at non other than Westfield Doncaster’s luxurious Styling Suite, we spent the morning celebrating the launch of the Bec & Bridge x InHabit Westfield Doncaster pop-up retail space, and what a beautiful morning it was!
From the striking gold and black interior of the styling suite, to the Moroccan canapés and French champagne, every detail acted as the perfect backdrop to Bec & Bridge’s latest collection. The collection was primarily made up of light denim-wash pieces, made for the Australian beach-to-bar summer lifestyle, playsuits in Moroccan inspired tones such as gold, deep orange and caramel, and lots of versatile black, white and cream. The fashion-forward audience listened attentively whilst Bec & Bridge spoke about the development of their brand, and how they transitioned from men’s to women’s wear over fifteen years ago! After the event officially ended, every girl and her cat ran upstairs to try on and shop the latest collection inside their InHabit Pop-Up space – anything in Gold Dust, with a slim-line, and chunky cut-out, seemed to be a winner amongst the outrageously fashionable crowd.
I opted for a monochromatic look; wearing their Pinstripe, crisscross Bastille Jumpsuit, and a crisp white trench to the event. I tied the belt from the trench coat around my waist to add shape and a new dimension to the jumpsuit, and stuck with all black accessories to keep the focus on the jumpsuit.
