GOOD EVENING everyone! Friday night is probably my favourite night of the week, it marks the end of an entirely productive, entirely tiring week, a night where dinner and drinks, followed by a ridiculously large triple ice-cream cone (with or without hot Nutella on top… however, may I suggest, with) are not only accepted, but entirely encouraged and where the exciting anticipation of an early morning brunch-line-up at a new Melbourne café-pop-up hoping to score highly by fellow foodies, #BloggersWhoBrunch, restaurateurs and the like, awaits!
ANYWAYS – somewhere in between my usual weekend brunch-to-coffee-to-shameless-street-style-photoshoot-situation, I was lucky enough to spend some quality time with a nearest and dearest (aka fashion blogger/graphic designer/professional – [like actually though] – photographer/recently-celebrated-a-birthday babe Carissa!) who snapped a few pics for my recent collaboration with Nasty Gal. I really wanted to show off the versatility of my black studded suede skirt and black lace dress by showing off a few different ways the two pieces could be worn. By just added a simple pinstripe oversized navy blazer, and black turtle neck (IT IS WINTER HERE… WHY?!), I created a couple of different looks. Look número uno – suede skirt unbuttoned, allowing lace detail to peak through and giving the skirt a natural swing ; Look número dos – drop the skirt, and embrace lace dress in all its glory. I recommend adding stockings, which look like they have socks over them but really are stockings with socks attached (clever – I know, thanks Ambra Aus!) and a shiny black pointy brogue shoe!
