Dinner Party Gone Right

JESSICAALIZZI table

In true Jessica & Love fashion, when my parents told me we were throwing a mini dinner party on New Years Day, I practically jumped out of my Converse Sneakers I was so excited (hangover and all…). Any excuse to decorate/style/create-an-incredibly-photogenic-situation is kind of what I live for… Although yet to master the art of actually cooking, preparing for a dinner party? Family – please, look no further.

For our dinner party, I went for somewhat of a white, clean & crisp style, adding a touch of colour through pink flowers (from Humble Bundle Melbourne) and pink/purple candles. And lastly, I introduced a bit of greenery over the table and as garnish on the food to give it a mid-summer, fresh vibe (because, nature).

ANYWAYS I hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend! I still have two more outfit posts left as part of my “fabulous purchases from Boxing Day Sales”, so look out for them over the next couple of days!

  1. My nanna always says that, ‘setting a table is a lost art form’. I can see why. Your attention to detail is impressive. I love it. Happy new year and I can’t wait to see more articles / tips x

  2. Your eye is impeccable. By understating the settings, you allow the food and company to be the focal point of this event. Your influence is everywhere and nowhere. A-plus.

  3. This is so simple, but pretty. The white gives it a really crisp look that could suit both the simple and complex dinner. Beautiful! Reblogging this, myself.
